Hello
I am excited to begin my career in counseling and serve a wide variety of clients. I currently work as a full-time engineer and have chosen to significantly change my career because I believe in the therapeutic process. I have personally experienced these benefits in my own life and seen how the work in therapy can create peace, self-understanding and hope.
All of us have unique lives that have been built by our experiences, life events and choices. I believe therapy allows us to change the structure of our lives. That work can range from a complete remodel of our life to just a small modification of an attitude or habit. I believe the space created in therapy allows us to create a new chapter in our lives.
My Style
I focus on creating a welcoming space that balances looking into the past and working to create
a different future. I work with my clients to first identify the fundamental objectives they want to
accomplish in therapy and then developing a plan to achieve that goal. Part of that process
often involves revisiting the past to understand both the positive and traumatic experiences that
have made us into who we are. This requires us to slow down, dig up old feelings and take the
time to understand these experiences and emotions. Once we understand your unique journey,
our work can then shift to the future.
I focus on finding pragmatic solutions to achieve our objectives. This is often the hard work of
therapy where it’s creating the new habits and thought patterns that are needed to move
forward. I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I work with a wide range of patients, but am specializing in anxiety, depression, relational issues,
career transitions and male/adolescent boy issues.
I am excited to work with you and help be a support that can help you open a new chapter in
your life!
